A Sheffield based alternative bellydance troupe that perform to a diverse selection of music, at various events throughout the region also host their own annual fundraising Hafla. Each year the show gets bigger and better with more guests and a variety of talent, coming together to share and enjoy a great night as well as raising money for charities. The Sisters work hard each year selling tickets, attracting performers and bringing in fantastic raffle prizes.

Each year MASKK volunteers support the Sisters with the buffet, providing the sound equipment and running the sound desk. The MASKK team love supporting these events as it enables us to help other charities, practice our event skills and support the Sisters who often support us. You may have seen the Sisters of Tribellica perform at previous local events including The Everyone’s Festival.

This years event held on Saturday 18th March, has raised £268.32 for MASKK, from the raffle, and almost £1,000.00 (tbc), from ticket sales and donations, for another local charity Amy’s House who also support children with disabilities and complex health needs.

MASKK’s work in the community is often unfunded, and many of our resources and toys come from donations or passed on from other settings. MASKK are grateful for every penny the Sister’s raise for us, this allows us to buy items that our other funding would not stretch too or cover. In previous years this has helped create our sensory area in The Steel Inn and this year will enable us to purchase a tablet with applications that will benefit our younger children, and children with disabilities. We have over 50 children attend our sessions each week and so the 1 tablet will not stretch far, we are therefore looking for further financial donations (or gifts of old or unused tablets). If you’d like to help us further please email craigjudson@maskk.org.uk.
