MASKK are excited to invite children & young people from reception class upwards to join us for Creative Thursdays at MASKK, running term time only from 4:30pm until 6pm.
Each term the children will develop new creative skills with the aim of putting together exhibitions and shows. The children will also work towards an Arts Award, Discovery Level if they haven’t got one already- a recognised qualification from Trinity College.
This first term looking at physical arts and putting together an exhibition for July for you to come along and see their work. Starting 12th May with an artist from Ignite Imaginations teaching us something interesting! From September to Christmas the group will be developing a Winter Show.
We want to be inclusive and flexible too – children who might have a shorter attention span will have the opportunity to join us at the beginning then move into our play room to enjoy some time playing with friends.
Led by our Playworkers Kiela and Hafsa, supported by volunteers* too.
This project is currently unfunded so we are charging £2 per child (or £1.50 for siblings) to contribute towards materials. Children booked in to our After School Club Thursdays will automatically be offered to take part for no additional cost.
If the cost is a barrier though please speak to us, we do not want any child missing out because of money.

For children not booked in to the after school club you will need to book and reserve your place. This will need to be done via MagicBooking, for those who attend some of our playcare sessions this is the same system you have used before – we hope using the one system will make things easier for both of us ?

If you have not already created an account you can register, noting it will send you an activation link and once activated you can add children. If you get stuck click the ? in the top right corner and you’ll find helpful information and a video.
Once registered parents can make bookings for Creative Thursdays. You can book odd sessions or the whole term – but please cancel sessions you don’t need so we know how much materials we need.
Payment can then be made online or click ‘pay later’ so you can pay in person by card/cash or by PayPal (but if paying cash please bring the exact amount you wish to pay as we do not have change). If you cancel with more than 4 days’ notice you will be credited for the session otherwise you will still be expected to pay as the materials will have been purchased. Cancellations can be made online or by texting.
Donations are also welcome to support the costs and can be made by clicking ‘Donate Today’ at the top of this page.
