Coronavirus: Covid-19

Please note that due to the current coronavirus situation our services are subject to change on a regular basis. Our team are working reduced hours so please be patient waiting for a reply.

Please be aware that after a full refurbishment of Temple Park Centre we are back in the building after a short time away.

We are pleased to be currently offering reduced SNIPS and After School Childcare Services. All after school childcare must be booked with 3 days notice, ideally by the previous Friday so that arrangements can be made with each school for collection.

About us

MASKK is a growing local charity, started in 1999 by local people, that provides a range of activities for children and families in the Manor and Castle area of Sheffield. Our services include affordable childcare, kids clubs, family activities, short breaks for children with disabilities, events and volunteering opportunities.

Our Story

In July 1999, a public meeting was held at Manor Community Shop to look into whether there was a demand for an afterschool club in the Manor area. After consultation with the public and advice from Sheffield Out of School Network, the club opened in September 2000 in the Standhouse centre and stayed there until 2001 when the project moved into the purpose-built Manor Community Childcare Centre. We remained in the childcare centre until 2013, when we moved to The Steel Inn, where we currently reside.
Throughout the years MASKK has changed and developed into what it is now. We became a registered charity on 27 August 2009 and since then started to deliver many more projects. We are governed by a Constitution and lead by a group of Trustees.
Our Charity was set up with a purpose in mind, with a mission statement, aims and objectives

Our Mission

“To work towards the enhancement of the lives of the local children living in the Manor area aged 5 and over regardless of wealth, religion, gender, race, background or ability.”

Become a volunteer!

Volunteering for local groups and charities is a great way of giving back to the local community. MASKK believe that volunteers should receive something back in return and in addition to the great feeling you get from being part of a child’s life we offer a volunteer training package.

Would you like to work with children and spend a session having fun and joining in with games and activities? Yes. Here, you are welcome to join our team and you can support us as a parent helper, volunteer or Trustee.

At MASKK we deliver an ever-increasing number of projects. Here are our key projects, click on each to learn more
