We offer a variety of volunteer roles, each suited to different interests and skill sets. Some opportunities are perfect for younger volunteers, while others are designed for individuals aged 18 and over.
Park Playworker Volunteer
We are looking for friendly and enthusiastic volunteers to support our community activities in local parks and green spaces. These sessions bring together children, young people and families to play, connect and enjoy time outdoors in a welcoming and inclusive environment.
This role is perfect for anyone aged 16+ who enjoys being outdoors, meeting new people and making a positive difference in their community. You’ll gain hands-on experience supporting family activities, helping set up and run events, encouraging participation and creating a warm, welcoming atmosphere for everyone attending.
We are particularly looking for volunteers who are happy to get involved with practical tasks such as preparing and serving refreshments, helping with activity equipment, welcoming families and supporting the smooth running of our community events. No previous experience is required – just enthusiasm, reliability and a passion for working with people.
Wraparound Playworker Volunteer
We are looking for enthusiastic volunteers to support our wraparound childcare provision before and after the school day. Our clubs provide children with a safe, nurturing and fun environment where they can relax, play, socialise and develop new skills.
This role is perfect for anyone aged 16+ who enjoys working with children and wants to gain practical experience in a childcare and playwork setting. As a volunteer, you will help create engaging play opportunities, support children’s interests, encourage positive relationships and contribute to a welcoming atmosphere where every child feels valued and included.
Volunteers may assist with a range of activities including arts and crafts, outdoor play, games, creative projects, snack preparation and setting up or tidying away resources. No previous experience is required – just enthusiasm, reliability and a passion for supporting children’s play, learning and development.

Trustee
Like many local organisations, MASKK are trying to recruit new Trustees, aged 18+ to complement the ones we’ve already got.
Being a Trustee can be a great way of learning new skills or putting your existing skills to good use in your local community. Like School Governors, the Trustee help steer the charity and provide accountability and guidance.
