We’re thrilled to share that the recent improvements at MASKK have made a huge difference – and the children are absolutely loving it!
From sliding down the steep purple slides to spinning around on the purple spinner, the new soft play area has become a hub of fun and adventure. It’s wonderful to see the children so active, laughing, and mastering their way through the soft play with confidence and joy.
The kitchenette area has been a fantastic enhancement to our room! It’s already making a big difference in supporting the children’s independence and confidence.
The children have been enjoying the opportunity to:
- Wash their hands more independently,
- Fill up their own water bottles,
- And even help prepare their own snacks!
It’s wonderful to see them taking ownership of these daily routines and developing important life skills in the process.
Soon you’ll notice our new side entrance will be complete too!
Some of our other work, and where you can get involved, includes:
We have received a small amount of money to buy resources from Health Watch Sheffield. In return, we are helping Health Watch by reviewing how children interact with health services and appointments. Does your child love or fear going to the doctors or chemist? Do you have any ideas on how it could be improved? Your insights will help shape a report for Healthwatch Sheffield, ensuring your experiences and ideas are heard where they count.

We have recently become aware that MagicBook has started sending automated payment reminders to all parents. These reminders do not seem to take into account those of you who pay in instalments or via plans. We apologise and are working to find a way to turn them off for you. Sadly, these reminders are necessary for some families, as April MASKK owes approximately £6,000 in fee income from previous months, which is beginning to impact our cash flow and is having a knock-on effect on our other areas of work. For more information about paying your fees, visit https://www.maskk.org.uk/financial-support/
We look forward to seeing you at one or more of the events.
