Hello from us all at MASKK!

The news is regularly changing, new information and fake news fill our screens. But I wanted to touch base and let you know what we are still doing.

Firstly we are continuing to provide after school care for children in school, although with reduced staff this means fewer places, but we do still have spaces at the moment and we will ensure any key role parents are able to access us if they still need to. We will need to evaluate the logistics potentially on a day by day basis if our staff availability changes. But we will do our best to ensure we give as much notice as possible if anything changes. Please click here to read the latest letter issued to parents regarding school places by Sheffield City Council.

Secondly we are planning to continue to provide sessions for children with SEND on behalf of SNIPS. Tomorrows Saturday club is open as normal, and will then have it’s usual few weeks break for the Easter holidays, we will be in touch with parents to update you on the return date. Please do call or text (07784838169) though to let us know if your child does not need a place, so that it might be offered to another child.

Thirdly we are looking at our plan for school holidays, for both providing Childcare for working parents and the Short Breaks for children with SEND. We hope to have a final plan in place early next week, but at present we will be open but may just be with fewer places and potentially slightly shorter days.

We are enjoying small group fun in our sessions and continue to implement good hygiene practices, and we feel confident that we are still able to offer a safe place for children to come together and enjoy playing.

If any child develops symptoms please remember to follow the current Public Health England Guidance and do not bring them to the setting.

Some parents have asked about our financial resilience, as a small charity the reduced income is a large threat to our sustainability, however our Trustees are supporting me to closely monitor this, but our main focus is to support you our community in this time.

I want to end by thanking those of you who have sent positive comments, emails and messages. As a service, and staff team we feel appreciated and it continues to be a pleasure to be able to do what we can.

Yours Sincerely

Craig Judson
